The shadows of midnight

Faced with emptiness, the author moves forward, feeling the cracks in the imagination, digging beyond appearances. Poetry serves as his lamp. Each verse reveals a secret part of the soul. Here, lyricism bursts forth with an urgency that could not have been born elsewhere. It responds to loss, to the tragic silence of solitude. The shadows that envelop northern Acadia refuse to be dispelled by neon lights and urban distractions. They are persistent, thick, like a memory of frost. This voice is both painful and vigorous, haunted by a grief that is written into the very fabric of words. We must pass through the night, change our gaze. The intensity of the gaze transforms the contours. Can we conceive of Aquarius and the shadow of the dragon coexisting without conflict, without clamor? Conflict seems inscribed in light and absence. Lyricism survives, immutable, while shadows remain, threatening in counterpoint to the photographs: black traces at the edge of the frame, a perpetual reminder that nothing can ever be completely erased. And yet, despite everything, sorrow is combined with a strange, persistent beauty.
