Intoxicated with love and absence
This collection of poetry recounts the emotional journey of a thirty-something man, master of his bachelorhood, until a knowing glance surprises him and breaks his chosen solitude.
The poems follow the timid courtship of the other, the first gestures, the shared silences, the whispered confessions, the nights filled with promises and exalted metaphors.
What begins as a hesitant adventure turns into a dazzling passion. He is suspended as if on a cloud, where each date is a luminous stanza.
But the ardor suddenly changes. Doubts creep in. Glances become unfamiliar. Words slip out that do not belong to him.
The sudden discovery of infidelity brings a brutal return to reality. He learns of furtive encounters with strangers and repeated betrayals.
The fall is harsh and cruel. He swings from rapture to disillusionment, from loving words to bitter silence. He is torn between pain and dignity. The texts document betrayal, collapse, anger and flashes of nostalgia.
The return to solitude is not a capitulation, but rather a reconstruction. He learns to rediscover himself, to enjoy the peace of solitude, to recognize the beauty of small things and to reconcile with himself. His lost love then becomes a lesson.
In the end, he celebrates his inner rebirth. He is happy again on his own, while being fully aware of his worth.
