Just being myself…
A journey into the world of differences

Mousseline de Mers uses poetry as an act of resistance and LGBTQ+ affirmation. Her work openly celebrates lesbian love through direct, repetitive language, while embracing an explicit and sensual female sexuality.

Here, the poems celebrate an intense love, oscillating between ecstasy and suffering. The author expresses carnal desires, tenderness and painful breakups.

Just being myself… becomes an act of rebellion and freedom. The author undergoes metamorphoses, questioning her essence in the face of restrictive social expectations.

Loneliness is omnipresent, sometimes a refuge, often a prison. It symbolizes misunderstanding and alienation from the world.

The author’s emotional dramas, scars and stigmas mark her journey, strewn with obstacles. However, poetry becomes catharsis and a path to healing.

Clouds, winds, water and fire convey emotional states, creating a symbiosis between the inner and outer worlds.

Mousseline de Mers’s work offers a lyrical introspection on human vulnerability, authenticity and the perpetual quest for meaning and self-acceptance.
